To provide a niche service to the biotech, pharma and cosmetics sector
comprising:

• a comprehensive and high quality European knowledge transfer,
  information and business support service for organisations, in particular
  SMEs, with a view to increasing their competitiveness and promoting their
  overall economic growth./li>

Aims:

• Creation and utilization of a cohesive forum for the rapid exchange of
  information for EEN partners with a shared interest in the biotech, pharma
  and cosmetics sector

• Development of a trusted and high-value sub-brand (sector group) of the
  Enterprise Europe Network

• Build on previous services and tools of IRC Biotechnology Thematic Group or other EU-funded initiatives, encouraging membership to the sector group from deliverers of all modules of the Enterprise Europe Network, in order to stimulate business and technology cooperation in the sector

• Foster collaborations with leading industrial players, research institutes,
  investors and stakeholders in the sector for the benefit of sector group
  client base

• Support an increase in the innovation capacity of SMEs operating in the
  biotech, pharma and cosmetics sector utilising an open innovation model
  comprising technology transfer and business co-operation services.

• Support the increased exploitation of research and development results of the European Biotech, Pharma and Cosmetics sector

• Support an increase in policy communication services, including the
  promotion of FP7 opportunities, EU Biotech, Pharma and Cosmetics policy
  measures by maintaining a close relationship with relevant European
  Commission DGs.
